Here, is a painting of J.M.W Turner. He is possibly the most famous watercolor artist in the world. The reason for this, is his unique perspective on imaginary landscapes, and what this has brought to the world of art.

His Works of Art

Techniques: He has a very unique style of watercolor art. Turner likes to gradually change the viewer's perspective, and turn it into something wholesome. What I mean by this, is that there is normally not one point in his painting that all of a sudden jumps out, but rather blends in, creating a more wholesome image.
Why I Like His Work: I very much enjoy Tureners work because of it's originality. He has a very playful style in his use of the brush, but can translate this into a very serious all around image.
What Can I Learn From Him?: Often times, I approach drawing with a very technical mindset, in the sense everything must be done perfectly. But he has shown that he does not. He toys with the colors and shapes, until he pictures an image in his mind, and then executes his plan. And this is what I think I should do. That is, have a more relaxed mindset.
How Will I Use This Knowledge for my Paintings?:
I will picture what I want to say and what kind of message I want to send with my art. Then, I will sit down and practice all the different possible routes I can take. Once I have something in mind, I will slowly execute it with a careful but relaxed appraoch, so that I can do it better.
